Company Background

Richard Fish is the President/CEO and founder of Coast Collision Centers (previously known as Pacific Collision Centers - Carlsbad, Escondido) and brings more than two decades experience in building fast-paced growth companies serving the Auto Property & Casualty industry. His experience in managing multiple location collision businesses in diverse markets has allowed him to attain a keen understanding of the most current technologies and processes driving success in this industry.

Fish spent 12 years at CCC Information Services (a leading software and information services provider based in Chicago) in a number of leadership positions serving both the Automotive Property & Casualty Insurance Companies and the Collision Repair marketplace. Fish left CCC to be a founding member of the Gerber Group management team. Gerber is a Collision & Glass business based in Chicago that is now one of the Nation’s largest and most successful industry consolidators. After leaving Gerber, Fish ran an eight center collision & glass business in Orange County, California.

Drawing on his diverse experience in the industry Fish was convinced that a new business model could introduce greater value to the market. Subsequently, he concluded that a new organization was necessary to achieve his vision.

In April of 2005 Richard and a partner purchased three former M2 Automotive collision centers and opened two of those locations for business in May of 2005 (Carlsbad and Escondido). Fish lead the effort to establish these San Diego locations as the regions’s premier collision repair facilities, including; acquisition, staffing, business processes, licensing, vendors, and leadership staffing. In August of 2007, Fish bought out the partner in the Carlsbad location and sold his half of the Escondido location to that same partner. Under sole ownership, the Carlsbad facility has become the flagship location of Coast Collision Centers. The business processes, workflow, and passion for the customer have been refined at this location and will serve as the model of the broader organization going forward.

The Coast Collision Center’s Team Commitment

Communication:

We will engage in open, honest and constructive communications. Our priorities are to listen first, understand thoughtfully and reply respectfully.

We recognize that getting it right is better than just doing it fast. We will always remain focused on achieving the highest quality. Our reputation cannot be compromised in any way shape or form. If it’s almost right - it’s still wrong!

Respect:

We will respect each other’s diversity, rights and opinions. Everyone will be treated with dignity and civility. Being prompt and prepared for meetings and appointments is one of the ways that we respect each other’s time and value.

Accountability:

We are accountable to our customers (internal or external), co-workers, staff, community, suppliers, the environment, and owners. We recognize that how swiftly we respond to others reflects on us as individuals as well as on the company that we are trying to create.

Integrity:

We will conduct all aspects of our business in a socially responsible manner according to the highest legal and ethical standards. We are honest and forthright in our actions and will hold anyone that we work with, or for, to the same standard.

We know that life is too short to miss the chance to enjoy what we do and the people we’re with. We take time to laugh every once in a while, even if we’re laughing at ourselves.
